Great dessert for picky kiddos.
This is one of those things that is so easy to make, and so much healthier than the store bought version...
This recipe is a staple of our family, but we used to eat it with chicken, cheese and sour cream. This is a new twist on our original recipe that is completely vegan. The best part is, our kids like it just as much!
It's snowing heavy snowflakes that are melting when they hit the ground. But still, it's April, and an overcast, snowy day isn't so cheerful right now. So, I made a Summery breakfast (well, second breakfast, since green smoothies are always first).
I bought store-bought Almond Milk and Rice Milk for years until the first time I made this. It is so easy to make, and more fresh with cleaner ingredients than the store-bought versions. You'll love having the ability to make your own "milk" with almost nothing other than easily stored almonds.
Kids love rolling out cookie dough and cutting shapes with cookie cutters. Now you can feel like a good mom still letting them have that experience, without the sugar.
We got stuck in a Citrus-herb green smoothie rut. This smoothie got us out of that rut. :)
I loved the basil and lime together but wanted to make it without any sugar so I used orange juice which is naturally sweeter, with a little lime juice to keep that fresh flavor.
